NEW ICE SHOW IN LONG BEACH
“
Hollywood on Ice,” Boris Petroff’s scintillating ice revue, will be presented at the Long Beach municipal auditorium starting Saturday, October 12, and continuing for eight days. This will be the first major ice show ever to be presented in Long Beach. Famous skating stars, including Audrey Miller, Jeanne Sook, Twinkle Watts and Fred Wadle will perform midst elaborate lighting and scenic effects, large skating ensemble and an augmented orchestra. This presentation of artists skating on a * frozen stage in a palace of glass promises to be the outstanding event in the entertainment world.
You can own this rare souvenir program from that show. In addition to the introductions of the skaters in the show are the many advertisers that grace programs like this. Among the advertisements in this souvenir program are some political advertisements for the political memorabilia represented in those advertisements.
There is some normal wear on the cover of this souvenir program from 1946. There is also a swatch of about 2" ripped off of the cover at the top of the words "ON ICE." Flipping through the souvenir program I notice no writing on the inside pages.
