.  The Los Angeles Civic Light Opera production opened in LA on 06/12/44 and ran until 07/01/44 before moving to San Francisco from 07/03/44 - 07/22/44.  The musical opened in NYC on 08/21/44 and ran for 860 performances.  The cover features show artwork.  Inside are headshot photos, costumed photos, bios, synopsis, full cast and production list, musical numbers list, scene synopsis, background on the show, some lyrics, Lemuel Ayers set design sketches, costume sketches by Robert Davison.  The cast includes Irra Petina, Walter Cassel, Helena Bliss, Robert Shafer, Sig Arno, Walter Kingsford, Ivy Scott, Charles Judels, Edwin Maxwell, Doreen Wilson, Roy Gordon, Janet Hamer and Kent Edwards.  Music by Edvard Grieg with musical adaptation and lyrics by Robert Wright and George Forrest and book from a story by Homer Curran.  Directed by Charles K. Freeman and choreographed by George Balanchine.  Also includes a one-sheet program.  The program is complete.

Condition is near excellent with minor wear

CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
