Description
Offering a preowned souvenir from the 1950's.This is a pillow cover or sham that measures approximately 15" wide by 16" long.
I stuffed a 12x12 pillow in it for the photo and I think a larger one would be a better fit.
That being said, this offer is for the cover only and does not include the pillow.
Cover appears to be made of silk.
Bottom of cover is open and unsecured to allow you to slide pillow inside.
Cover is primarily pink.
Front depicts several landmarks of the El Paso area.
Print on the front is a very faint / light gray and because the pink silk reflects the light, it was hard to get good photos.
Upper left corner features the international bridge.
Top center states this item is a souvenir of El Paso.
Upper left corner shows a large group of musicians with the words Tipica Orchestra below.
Left center features a cowgirl on a horse near cactus.
Dead center depicts the scenic highway around Mt. Franklin Texas.
Right center shows the Cross atop Mt. Christo Rey.
Bottom left has a drawing of Cantonment Fort Bliss.
Bottom right shows a birds-eye view of Ciudad Juarez.
Cover is trimmed in a shaggy pink fringe.
All fringe appears to be firmly attached.
This is an old pillow and shows some wear and tear.
Most notably is the colors have faded there is some bleed through on the back.
The back also has some damage as there are a few small holes - see photos.
This was something found amongst my husband's parent’s belongings and has been stored for years.
Cover is as is, so please be sure to look at the photos for better understanding of its appearance and condition.
Thank you for looking.
