    Description

    A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued in 1964 to honor Sam Houston, Texas politician and soldier. The city of Houston is named in his honor. The photo below shows Mr. Houston's statue in Huntsville, Texas.
    These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as they were the day they were first sold at the post office almost 60 years ago!  Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift for anyone interested in the history of Texas.
