This is a rare late 1940's marbled bakelite bangle with a relief symbol on the rectangular riveted, brass head. The European-style Chinese character is wishing the wearer good fortune. This a fortunate find for any bakelite collector. It is as unique as it is bold and beautiful.
Inherited from the estate of a family friend, this piece is vintage and in good condition. The hinge is strong and flexible. It provides a secure fit. It has not been cleaned with any more than a soft cloth.
