Very rare fossil Eutrephoceras carolinensis nautiloid (cephalopod).
Recovered from the (Eocene) Castle Hayne Formation of an ancient seabed in North Carolina.
Good preservation on matrix. Solid and heavy. Nice shape.
Beautiful fossil.
Measures approximately 1.57" W.
