RARE booklet: TEXAS WEEK - THE TEXAS FLAG, by Wylie Parker, Forest Avenue High School, Dallas, 1934; stapled wraps, 32 pages, 5x7.5 inches, very well-illustrated in b&w (actually blue & white). TEXAS WEEK was an annual holiday introduced by Governor Ferguson in 1933 in anticipation of the upcoming centennial of the Alamo, to honor the Alamo every year. This was also published before the centennial and includes detailed history of the flag, description of Texas Week, lists of historic and natural sights and also pageants plays and books about Texas, several illustrations. Very scarce - I can't find any other copies of this available online, nor listed in any completed-auction listings.Condition: EX (some minor smudges but overall very clean and bright, tight staples, clean pages).
