. It is a heavy-duty, yet very light weight mount. It fits handlbars, yokes, rails and rods from 1 inch
to a maximum of 2.1 inch
in diameter. The kit comes with 2 clamp straps and a rubber protective clamp sleeve. It includes the 3-inch arm and round base for mounting electronics (GPS units, GoPro and other brand cameras, CCTV cameras, tablets, phones, mirrors, bike accessories, etc. up to 5 lbs.) also great for mounting any RAM product - up to 5 lbs. - anywhere rails or rods, handlebars or yokes, are available.
To mount the base, place the saddle-shaped plate on the rail or rod then wrap the (rubber protected) metal clamp strap around the rail/rod and plate. Tighten the screw knob on the metal strap with a screwdriver until the strap has a firm hold on the rail or rod.
The round stud base is the 1/4 inch / 20 RAM (2-1/2 inch diameter) RAM-B-202U AMPS base that sells separately for

and up. This base can be used to attach numerous and various electronics and other devices and accessories. The V-base and round base both have RAM's patented 1-inch round universal nylon rubber coated ball and socket system that allows you to mount virtually anything, anywhere.

It has a socket at either end to allow any 1 inch diameter ball accessories to be connected. A single spring inside the arm opens the end sockets, allowing you to pivot the ball and socket connection. The ball and socket design provides superior shock and vibration isolation for electronics and other accessories. The unique design makes for easy installation, mobility, strength, and versatility.
