Description
This is an Antique "Pike, Texas" Tray made by the New Method Co in Chicago. It is rather fragile and seems to be made of aluminum or some other non-ferrous (non-magnetic) metal. These trays were popular fund raisers around the early 1900s.
It measures approx. 6 1/2" x 4" and says "Methodist Protestant Church, Pike, Tex., Rev. W.R.B. Henry, Pastor" on the front, and "
New Method Co. Money Raising Plans For Church Workers, Chicago, U.S.A." on the back.
This unique tray would make an awesome addition to any collection, and would make a great gift, too! It would also make an interesting & decorative conversation piece. The pictures above show the condition of the actual item you will receive, as I don't use stock photography.
This antique tray is in good condition but to does show some expected wear consistent with age. There is a bit of bending present.
Basically, it looks as it does in the photos…
