DESCRIPTION:
This fire insurance house/building plaque came directly out of an antique collectors estate here in New Hampshire. After doing a bit of search on this one we believe the insurance company was the Baltimore Equitable Insurance Co. It depicts a handshake with the year 1794 which was their symbol. It appears to be made from some sort of pot metal? It IS NOT magnetic. It looks to be hand-painted with black,
vanish-brown and red paint. We could not capture the exact coloring in photos. The chippy paint looks to be old. The shaking hands and the 1794 are raised as well as the edges of the plaque.

MEASUREMENTS:
Measures approx. 8 3/4" wide by 8 1/4" tall with a total depth of approx. 5/8". Weighs approx. 1.11 lb.
