.  The musical opened in NYC on 03/31/43 and ran for 2212 performances.  Inside are production photos, costumed photos, bios, synopsis and brief history of the show.  Cast includes James Alexander, Peggy Engel, Mary Marlo, David Morris, Dorothea MacFarland, Walter Donahue, Robert Nash, Christine Karner, Al Webster, Brent Flenniken, Victor Young, Claire Pasch, Davie Gladstone, Betsy Ross, Margaret Nelson, Eugne Keith, Robert Early, Evans Davis, Edwin Ziegler, Alfred Cibelli Jr, Louise Fornaca and Dave Mallen.  Music by Richard Rodgers lyrics and book by Oscar Hammerstein (based on Green Grow The Lilacs by Lynn Riggs).  D

Condition is near excellent with minor wear.

CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
