    More Information:
The sub lithographic limestone of the Cretaceous period of Lebanon is known for its incredibly well preserved fish and crustaceans. This newly discovered species known as Triplomystus was also found in this area. The genus was discovered in late 2003, and is one of only 6 new genera found at that time. Fish are far more rare at en-Nammoura, Lebenon; with very few recorded multiple specimens found.
