NEW Set of 3 US AIRWAYS Envoy International First Class Porcelain China Ramekins
This is a lovely set of three Ramekins from US Airways Envoy Transatlantic First Class service.
The highly glazed ivory porcelain Ramekins have a very simple, albeit attractive navy blue band, with thin gold trim on either side of the navy band.
The Ramekin bottom is stamped with US Airways and the stylized Flag logo.
The Ramekins can be used for Nuts and snacks. Great for everyday service or it's a perfect addition to your airline dinnerware collection!
The china was made by ABCO International, a division of Oneida, one of the largest and most respected manufacturers of foodservice tableware especially designed for world class airlines.
These items were purchased new directly from US Airways during their April 2007 "Dish Dash Sale" held in Tempe, Arizona and kept in storage. The airline sold all of their surplus Cabin Inflight items as a fundraising event to benefit the US Airways Education Foundation which raised ,000. Items not sold were donated to St. Mary's Food Bank.
This would also be a wonderful addition to your airline dish collection!
ABOUT US AIRWAYS ENVOY INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS SERVICE
US Airways was the first U.S. airline to fly the A330-300 when it introduced three-class service on its Transatlantic routes to Europe in May 2000. The Airbus Industries A330 offered an intimate First Class cabin with many upgraded amenities, an expanded Envoy Class cabin and a comfortable Economy Class cabin. All flights to Europe offered Signature appetizers, entrees and dessert selections exclusively designed for US Airways by Master Chef Georges Perrier of the world renowned Le Bec-Fin restaurant in Philadelphia. Vintage champagnes and premium wines, as well as spirits, espresso, cappuccino and specialty beverages. These dishes were used on these transatlantic routes until shortly after 9/11.
