Vintage Souvenir Program
Up for auction is a vintage souvenir program book, measuring approximately 9 by 12 inches in size.  The twenty page Souvenir Program is for Ferenc Molnar's "Liliom", playing on Broadway in a Gala Benefit Performance for one night only, with the Original Broadway Cast of the 1940 revival, and featuring Burgess Meredith, Elia Kazan, Joan Tetzel and introducing Ingrid Bergman.  The proceeds from the performance was in aid of "Foyers du Soldat", a unit of the French Red Cross, and would provide recreation, canteens, shelters and other necessities for the French Army.  The souvenir program has a corded string binding, as well as its original glassine protective wrapper, imprinted with a textured spider web design.
The souvenir program is in great, vintage condition, with no missing or torn pages, no writing on any of the pages, and minimal soiling and wear.  However, there is a slight crease to both the top and bottom inside corners of the program.  In addition, there is soiling to the glassine wrappers, chipping along its edges, and creases throughout the back section.
