    Description

The Hong Kong - HSBC 10 Dollars banknote from 1975 has a dimension of 152 x 85 mm. Its front design depicts an allegorical woman with a sheaf of wheat and the crowned Coat of Arms depicting a unicorn and lion rampant with sailing ship and Chinese junks. The reverse side features the 3rd HSBC headquarters building in Central District and a winged female angel with trumpet. The stripped classical style HSBC building was completed in October 1935 and served as a government headquarters during the Japanese occupation of World War II. The note does not contain any security threads however a watermark helmeted warriors head in profile and numeric 10 are added to the design to enhance its security features.
