    Description

This Hong Kong 100 Dollar banknote was issued in January 2013 by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. The banknote's design features beautiful natural scenery that showcased the unique and fascinating side of Hong Kong. The obverse side of the note depicts the Bank of China Tower, the bank logo, and numeric 100 and bauhinia flower in SPARK with the denomination as a registration device. On the reverse side is an aerial view of the Kowloon city buildings, harbor, and Lion Rock with mountains in the background. The note has a dimension of 153 x 76.5 mm and contains a green-to-magenta windowed security thread with demetalized HK100 and a large HK made up of small letters to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of a Bauhinia flower and electrotype 100 on pixelized design.
