    Description

Authentic Fireman's Fund Insurance Company Cast Iron Mark/Plaque
This hand painted plaque is a nice, hard to find and
historical piece of memorabilia from a California-based insurance company which no longer exists.
It is a must for any Fireman's Fund employee, retiree, agent-broker, or insurance memorabilia collector.
It would also be a nice addition to a firefighter’s memorabilia collection.
Fireman's Fund was originally founded in San Francisco in 1863.
It was named for an arrangement in which they paid 10 percent of their profits to widows and orphans of firefighters.
Before its demise, Fireman's Fund had insured some of America's notable landmarks and inventions, including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Spirit of St. Louis.
They were also the largest insurer and underwriter in the Hollywood film industry, insuring motion picture productions since the silent film era.
