    Lavish Souvenir Program of the 1947-48 Season of the Ballet Company which would become AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE ten years later.  This book is filled with photographs of the dancers and the programs of that season, along with wonderful period advertisements, mostly for perfumes.
    Among the choreographers represented are Leonide Massine, Antony Tudor, Agnes DeMille Jerome Robbins and George Balanchine.  Composers listed include Richard Strauss, Igor Stravinsky, Aaron Copeland, Kurt Weill, Morton Gould and Leonard Bernstein.
    Also included is a separate single sheet program of the performance of Ballet Theatre on Sunday February 8, 1948 at New York's Curran Theatre.  On the program that night were:
