    BEAUTIFUL POLISHED ORTHOCERAS FOSSILIZED CEPHALOPODS 8-1/2" TALL FROM MOROCCO. OVER 400 MILLION YEARS OLD. WEIGHT IS 3# 11.3 OZ.
    ORTHOCERAS ARE EXTINCT MEMBERS OF THE CEPHALOPOD CLASS.   MODERN MEMBERS INCLUDE NAUTILUS, SQUIDS AND OCTOPUS.  THEY FIRST APPEARED DURING THE SILURIAN PERIOD 410-435 MILLION YEARS AGO IN THE SEAS OF THE JURASSIC & CRETACEOUS PERIODS.
    This beautiful specimen has 8 points and makes a great display piece. You will receive the Orthoceras Fossilized Cephalopods shown in the pictures.  Please ask any questions before leaving feedback.
