RTHOCERAS ARE EXTINCT MEMBERS OF THE CEPHALOPOD CLASS.   MODERN MEMBERS INCLUDE NAUTILUS, SQUIDS & OCTOPUS. THEY FIRST APPEARED DURING THE SILURIAN PERIOD 410-435 MILLION YEARS AGO IN THE SEAS OF THE JURASSIC & CRETACEOUS PERIODS.
