Description
This is a one of a kind hand painted beer sign that was a transome window in a stumble bar in Kalamazoo MI. The window was discovered when renovations were done to the old building. The window is painted on the reverse side, however there is a faint outline of the letters on the front of the glass. You can see this was painted with a wide brush possibly by the bar owner. It might date from pre Prohibition but defiantly from the first half of the 1900's.The window is mounted in a custom wooden frame and then back lighted with a panel of LED lights. The frame has mounting brackets and the lights are controlled with a remote control switch. You can see this item in person at the Old State Theater Antique Mall in Columbia, PA.
It is a very unique piece of folk art and would be a great addition to a bar, restaurant or private collection.
The overall dimensions are 53 1/2" long x 26 1/2" high and 5 1/2" deep including the mounting brackets.
