Notary Public Plaque
American Fire & Casualty Company provides fire and casualty insurance products and services. The company is based in Fairfield, Ohio. They later incorporated operations in Massachusetts and Florida. American Fire & Casualty Company now operates as a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Holding Company, Inc.
The plaque/sign states "Notary Public Bonded by American Fire and Casualty Company- Orlando, Florida". American F & C would give these out to notaries that they bonded/quaranteed. It is a metal plaque with an white enamal background. This item measures approximately 9.0 inches by 6.375 inches in size. This plaque is in good overall condition. It was displayed on the outside of a building, so it does show signs of age and exposure to the elements, along with some paint splatter. All of this adds to its vintage look and feel. It would make an excellent addition to any insurance memorabilia collection.
