    Description

Offered is this vintage program magazine from the New York City Center of Music and Drama for the week of January 14, 1945. The main item of the program is the New York City Symphony, conducted by Leopold Stokowski, on January 15th and 16th. Also featured is the opera "La Vie Parisienne" by Offenbach. In addition to the programs for these two performances there are numerous articles on classical music and related topics. There are many ads for products like cosmetics, clothing, beverages and more, including a wartime cartoon Pepsi ad (see photo #4), as well as ads for local restaurants, hotels , clubs and stores.
The mauve-on-white program is in very good condition, with pages well-attached to the cover and no tears, although there are a few wrinkles and a crease where it was folded vertically. There is a small bit of wear to the cover and some light soiling.
